Trello is an easy to use, intuitive tool for managing marketing team tasks, especially if you’re using the agile methodology.
In Trello you create a list for each sprint, or whatever time period you use to manage projects. Then you create a card for each task, and can assign people and make notes on each card.
Trello only works if you actively manage and use it. You can refer to it during your daily team standup meetings, and definitely during your sprint planning and review sessions. When new ideas and needs come up, they go into an upcoming Trello list instead of just floating around in emails. If you don’t actively manage and update it, though, instead of rationalizing your work Trello becomes the place where projects go to die.
Trello can be integrated with other tools like Slack, although in my opinion Slack channels can get overwhelmed with messages created each time there’s an update to a Trello card, so I prefer to keep them separate.
There are other team management tools available, too, such as Wrike and Asana. Or you can just use a whiteboard of sticky notes, which is what Trello most closely resembles.
